Keeping your skin looking it's best with all the cold wind drying it out might not always be easy, but with these tips I hope it helps.
1,Moisturise- Yes it's an obvious one. Keep your skin hydrated, moisturising twice a day will help keep your skin smooth and protect it from getting damaged.
2, use an SPF- even though it may be cloudy outside your skin can still get sun damaged.
3,Cover up- Wear a hat and scarf to cover up as much of your face as possible, this will mean less damage to your skin.
4,Moisturise your lips- make sure you keep using lip balm on your lips to stop them from chapping.

There have been many negatives things I have heard about this book, so I thought I would go get it for myself and read it. I have to say after reading this book I was not disappointed. However it was ghost written meaning that it wasn't actually written by her it just has her name on it. Other than that whether or not it has her name on I would have enjoyed this book anyway.
I think it was very cleverly written based at a certain age audience, which is teens. They made the main character 'Penny' relatable to many teens giving her problems which often occurs when you are a teenager. However unrealistic the story line may be it still had qualities which showed an average teenage girls life.

This is when I thought 'Hey why don't I start a blog?' And yeah, why not. I love writing about things and when blogging I can write about things I want to, mainly it will be Beauty related but I might have a few non-beauty related thing too.
I feel like when I blog I can tell people about what I have to say and some people will be interested and some people won't. I'm hoping people will enjoy my blog. But mainly I'm doing it to have fun and write about what I enjoy which is makeup and fashion.

As the Christmas Holidays come to an end I have to mentally prepare myself to start school again Monday. Beside the fact that I only have one day left and have not started a single piece of homework I would say I'm pretty prepared (but I can just do my homework on the bus).
I can't be the only person who is dreading waking up at a ridiculous hour to get ready to go to a place which they despise can I? I mean don't get me wrong, I sometimes really enjoy school but there are so many people there saying stuff behind your back and judging your every movement I just don't find it enjoyable. However my friends really help me get through it so here are my tips on how I am surviving school.
1,Have enough time to get ready- In the morning I have to leave at 7:30 so therefore I set an alarm for 6, this allows me enough time to get ready. I feel as though if my makeup turns out good it puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day (anyone else feel like this?).
2, Ignore negative people- When I say ignore them I don't mean be rude to them, but if there are certain people out there who make you feel in a bad way just push them to the back of your mind. Obviously be polite and say hi if they talk to you but remember you don't have to be best friends with everyone and not everyone is going to like you.
3, It's not forever- When I think about school, the boring Math lessons and the annoying kid in your English class are not permanent things in your life. Although finishing school may seem like a long way off in a couple (or however many years) you are able to go off and do the things you are passionate about. Them people saying stuff behind your back once you have finished school you don't have to see them again if you don't want to, focus on the positive.
4,Have good friends- I have a couple of really good friends and I try to be friends with everyone however not everyone is a good friend. So if someone isn't a good friend just don't be friends with them.
5,Don't change to fit in- In my earlier years at Secondary school I was a horrible person. I'm not going to lie, I became friends with a girl who was horrible to everyone yet everyone still loved her. I started being more like her then I realized I didn't want to be like that. Even know there are still people who are horrible to be popular and I don't ever want to be like that again.
6, Try- Try hard in lessons, obviously have fun as well. I'm not going to act like I'm super perfect and me and my friends often mess around, however we also do the work we are meant to do as we know that this is going to get us through later life.
7, Do homework- I know I said in my introduction I haven't done it yet, which I haven't and right now I am regretting it but tomorrow I am dedicating the whole day to get it done.
8, Know where you're going and when- Know when each lessons are and get there on time, however this shouldn't be that hard as at most school there is a bell to indicate when lessons are.
9, Have fun- You can learn and have fun (bet you didn't expect to see fun and learning in the same sentence). However you need to know how to balance it out so you are able to balance it and still get all your work and studying done.

To me lipsticks are an important part of life, they brighten up your face and give you that extra something which makes you stand out (in a good way)!! I personally think Mac is the best place to get lipsticks, however I am not rich and don't often have a lot of money which I can go spend on very expensive makeup. So over the last couple of days I have been looking for lipsticks similar to ones which Mac sell, but the ones I have found are cheaper in price meaning more in my price rang. If you are wanting some Mac lipstick without the high price I'm hoping this will hep you.
The first dupe I have found is for Mac Creme'd Nude which is similar to E.L.F Natural Nymph
The next Lipstick is Mac Snob which is similar to Revlon Pink Pout
Mac Viva Glam Nicki is similar to Wet&Wild Pinkerbell
Mac Rebel is similar to Wet&Wild Sugar Plum Fairy
Mac Pink Nouveau is similar to Revlon Stormy pink
Mac Girl About Town is similar to CoverGirl Spellbound
Mac Ravishing is similar to Revlon Smoked Peach
Mac Russian Red is similar to Revlon Really Red
Mac Shy Girl is similar to Rimmel Nude Delight

Everyone is always looking for new tips on how to improve their beauty regime, and there are an endless amount of tips which can help you. From ways to style your hair to how to make your nail varnish last longer. Hopefully this post will allow you to find new ways to keep yourself looking your best without to much hassle.
1- Spraying hair spray onto your face after applying your makeup helps to make it last longer (just close your eyes first of course).
2-If your nail varnish starts to go lumpy pour in a bit of nail varnish remover and shake it, this should help it go back to a normal texture so you are able to use it again.
3- In summer it is best to stick to light makeup as it is hot and muggy outside, keep it sheer and simple. This is because the heat might cause your face to sweat meaning your makeup could potentially run.
4- Use toothpaste on spots to help reduce the size of them. It dries them out meaning they will disappear quicker.
5- Don't brush out the curls in your hair as this is most likely to make them frizzy, instead use a wide tooth comb or use your fingers to comb through them.
6- Wear a white liner under your eyes to make the eyes seem larger and less red.
7- To curl your hair without heat braid it whilst it is still wet or put in hair rollers. If you wash your hair before bed and can leave it in overnight it will make it more effective.
8- Use a eyelash curler before you use mascara, this helps to extenuate the eyelashes making them appear longer and fuller. Be careful not to use an eyelash curler which will rip off your eyelashes (learnt the hard way)
9- Everyone can wear red lipstick you just have to find a red that suits you. Also make sure you use a lip liner to line out where you are going to apply the lipstick.
10- Full brows are more flattering use a powder to fill them in. This is because it is more natural looking than filling them in with a pencil which can cause hard lines.
11- Use an exfoliator to remove dead skin cells. This helps keep the skin looking healthy, also moisturize often to keep it soft.
12- Always wash makeup of before bed. This helps prevent your skin from prematurely aging and also keeps it more healthy.
13- Too much bronzer is a nightmare for pale skin, as it is less natural as bronzer gives you a sunkissed look.
14- Try avoid washing your hair everyday, constant shampooing strips hair of its natural oils meaning your hair will get greasier quicker.
15- Clean your makeup brushes at least once a week to prevent bacteria.
16-Use a concealer on the base of your eyelids before you apply eye shadow, this will help your eye shadow stay on much longer.
17-Gel eyeliner gives you a similar look to liquid liner, however most people find gel easier to apply.
18- Try to wash your hair with cold water as this is less damaging.
19- Use coconut oil on your hair and leave on for a couple of hours, then rinse and shampoo as normal. This will make your hair appear healthier.
20- If you use false lashes try to use a darker glue as this will blend them in more making them appear more natural.

Foundations are an essential makeup item to me, I will not leave the house without wearing it. However I know some people are lucky enough to be blessed with no spots and an even skin tone and therefore do not feel the need to use foundation. Whereas if your like me and feel naked without foundation I would recommend reading this post as I wish I had heard about these foundation years ago!
The first Foundation I recommend is Rimmel Wake me up foundation. It only costs £6 and is really good, it covers all the blemishes on my skin and leaves it with a really nice glow. It is quite light but still has a good coverage. There is one thing I dislike about this foundation is that after I bought it and put it on my face i realized it had glitter in it, however this was not very noticeable and it won't put me off buying it again after I have run out!!
The second Foundation which I love is Bare Minerals original foundation, which is more expensive than the Rimmel one as this is £25. However when I use this I notice that my skin looks pretty much perfect, I have also notice that it lasts for the whole day meaning that I do not have to re-apply it after a couple of hours. Also it might be a small tub but you only need a little bit to cover your whole face meaning that it will last for quite a long time.
